February is recognized as Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, a time dedicated to educating young people, families, and communities about healthy relationships and the warning signs of dating abuse.

Teen dating violence can include physical, emotional, verbal, sexual, and digital behaviors used to control or harm a partner. Raising awareness helps ensure our youth know how to identify unhealthy behaviors, seek support, and build safe and respectful relationships.

Please take a moment to review the attached flyer and share it within your networks, schools, and community groups. Increasing awareness is an important step in prevention and ensuring resources are accessible to those who may need assistance.

If you or someone you know may be experiencing teen dating violence, support is available through the DC Victim Hotline at 844-443-5732.
